Bloody Roar 5 Announcement is a hoax!
Fans of the Bloody Roar fighting franchise will be disappointed to know that the announcement of Bloody Roar 5 appears to be a hoax.
The source of the original news was an unofficial Twitter account, @HudsonSoftLtd, who has since posted this image from the new game which makes it blatant that we have all been duped..
Since 2003, the fighting franchise Bloody Roar has been in hibernation, with many fans fearing that it will never wake up from its long dormant slumber – until now.
Japanese publisher Hudson Soft has made the revelation that a brand-new Bloody Roar game is on the way. The announcement was made via their Twitter feed.
With the hashtag ‘Bloody Roar project 2012’, it would be safe to assume that Bloody Roar 5 – as it is referred to – will see a 2012 release. Originally released on the arcades back in 1997, Bloody Roar’s innovative staple was the playable fighters, known as Zoanthropes, who had the ability to morph into savage animals in mid-fight. The original was then ported to the PlayStation soon after, followed by a sequel in 1999. In 2000, the series made its debut to the PlayStation 2 will Bloody Roar 3. Bloody Roar 4 was then released in 2003.
