Godzilla Stomps His Way to SDCC and Back into Cinemas

Everyone’s favourite daikaijū is returning to screens… GODZILLA! Latino Review reports that after a long hiatus from the classic movie monster, Legendary Pictures – one of the studios behind Nolan’s Batman trilogy – is conducting a presentation on the American Godzilla reboot at the San Diego Comic-Con this year. Gareth Edwards is due to direct, and Max Borenstein penning a screenplay from David Goyer’s initial film outline.

Hopefully this will be a reboot worthy of the iconic giant lizard and will in no way resemble the monstrosity of the 1998 Roland Emmerich effort. Chilean artist GENZOMAN has created a gorgeous tribute to Godzilla, which will be used as a promotional image for the film at SDCC. Having directed the fantastic sci-fi indie film Monsters, Edwards surely can do justice to the Japanese monster-movie idol.
