This week’s (lack of) new releases! January 3rd-9th

Oh boy. Last week I claimed the gaming drought had reached it’s peak with only 4 new titles released that week and that from there on in things would improve. I was wrong. Guess how many titles our hitting retail this week? Zero. No casual games, no expansion packs for obscure simulators, no Nintendo platform shovel ware, just nothing. There’s not really much more I can say other than give my assurances that THIS is the real zenith of the gaming retail holiday.

You’ll probably be happy to know there’s at least 5 titles lined up for release next week, which is of course an ∞% increase in number week-on-week. Hopefully you’ll all still be too busy recoiling from Christmas and New Year’s celebrations to notice that the “new release” section in many game stores is probably still full of titles from almost a month ago……..
