Raise your hand if you had any awareness that RZA’s directorial debut (which he has co-penned with Eli Roth) was on the verge of bursting onto our screens? How this particular Tarantino/Roth production has slipped through the cracks is beyond me, but nevertheless, today Universal Pictures and Strike Entertainment introduced one hell of a trailer.

While the Tarantino influence is immediately present (some of the fight sequences look like  they may have been filmed on a Kill Bill Vol. 1 soundstage that was simply repainted), The Man With The Iron Fists looks like it could be, simply put, a damn fine exploitation bonanza. A film that will pride itself on sex and ultra-violence, it boasts an strong-ish cast that (besides RZA himself) includes Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu and ex-WWE superstar Dave Bautista.

The Man With The Iron Fists certainly won’t be raking in the box-office dollars, nor will it be winning awards any time soon, but if RZA punching someone’s eyeball off sounds appealing to you, check out the trailer below for a more than adequate preview of this blood-soaked mentalfest that is sure to put ‘the F-U in Kung Fu.’

The Man With The Iron Fists will be released later in 2012 through Strike Entertainment.
