Puyo Puyo Tetris Preps its Players With Some Tutorial Videos and a Demo

Puyo Puyo Tetris was a launch title on the Nintendo Switch in Japan. It’s out in Europe this month, whilst also appearing on PlayStation 4 at the same time. Some may just roll their eyes and think “oh it’s just some Puyo Puyo/Tetris. It’s not that difficult.” On a base level you may be right, but there’s a huge amount to wrap your head around, especially in its competitive modes. It’s also likely to take a few people by surprise due to Puyo Puyo never really being that big in the West. Luckily Sega have provided a series of tutorial videos to help players get up to speed sooner.

If you’d rather learn whilst doing then you’re in luck too. A demo is available to download, which brings with it a few modes that will be in the full game such as Versus and Swap mode. You can watch all of the tutorial videos below. If you feel like picking up Puyo Puyo Tetris then it will be out on the 28th April for £24.99 on PlayStation 4, physical format only, and £34.99 on Nintendo Switch, where it will be releasing in both physical and digital format.

I like video games. That's why I write about them. I've played them for years and in that time I've found a love for creepy horrors, indie darlings and the oddities that come out of Japan. Although my main purpose on the site is to write up news and reviews I'm also one of the main Let's Play video creators of the team (or, as I call them, Brett's Play videos).
