International Trailer for The Incredible Burt Wonderstone

In an unlikely dream pairing of Steve Carell and Jim Carrey, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone seems to be a sort of fantasy fusion of Zoolander and The Prestige. No bad thing, but this film could be as easily awful as potentially amusing. Personally, I think the comedic star power will probably see it through, especially considering the duo have incredible support in Steve Buscemi, James Galdolfini and old reliable Alan Arkin.

I only hope, though, that the jokes don’t rely too heavily on ripping actual magicians (Siegfried and Roy, David Copperfield, David Blaine). Original comedy will trump parody almost every time.

Below is the first international trailer.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone is released on March 15th, 2013 through New Line Cinema.
