Disgaea 5 Complete shows off some of its cast

The Disgaea franchise has developed quite the following since its debut in 2003. A tactical roleplaying game that has seen numerous spin offs, its upcoming release on the Nintendo Switch marks the first time the series has appeared on a Nintendo home console. Disgaea 5 Complete is a port of the game that appeared on PlayStation 4 two years ago. With its appearance on the Nintendo Switch, though, it means gamers will have the chance to play it as a home console game or a portable game, which could benefit it well.

NIS America have released a new trailer for the game showing off a small section of the cast. It’s bright, it’s colourful and, if you’re like me with very limited knowledge of the series, you’ll know very little of what is in front of you. It will be interesting to see how easy a starting point in the franchise this fifth game is. Its original release performed well on OpenCritic, scoring 82, which means it definitely does something right. You’ll be able to pick up Disgaea 5 Complete in Europe on May 26th.

I like video games. That's why I write about them. I've played them for years and in that time I've found a love for creepy horrors, indie darlings and the oddities that come out of Japan. Although my main purpose on the site is to write up news and reviews I'm also one of the main Let's Play video creators of the team (or, as I call them, Brett's Play videos).
